First of all, thank you very much for the video Jefferson, I was really getting confuse what to get for securing my home at affordable cost. I actually got GE security system, but's not working as I thought, I might return it and go for this one. I have a question, please answer me when you get chance.
    – I am concern about false alarm, and don't want to bother my neighbors without any reason. So in this alarm if any false alarm take place, does it goes off after certain time? if yes how long would it take to auto turn off? also how sensitive are the motion sensors? are you experiencing any false alarms? Thanks!

BTW, happy playing children in the background was a nice touch.  Added real authenticity to your review. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was the best background music ever.

  6. Loni Scalercio says:

By far the best video. I have been thinking of buying this for months.

  7. That One Ford Guy says:

Should have gotten the advanced keypad @ 2:45 that Einstein install. I have seen those keypads and they work great, MANY features and it's a talking system. Built in siren to the keypad as well.

  9. savnbest4last says:

Hi, Great video!  I assume that when the alarm is activated, it will not disarm itself after a period of time? My current home unit will disarm and reset it's self after about a minute. Thinking about getting this wireless unit for a friend. Please let me know. Robert

A little editing and less screaming kids in the background might be helpful

  11. OLAYNX says:

Hi Jefferson. Thanks for this video. I have a couple of questions though. (1) if the alarm goes off and you are away at work, can you disarm it remotely? (2) Does the package come with window decals? (3) Do you have any issues with the window or door sensors falling off ? In other words, is the double sidded tape strong enough?

  12. ken ses says:

  13. Derrick P Fields says:

    Your kids are awesome lol

  14. Mailbox Items says:

Jefferson, thank you for your informative video, it was nice to hear a consumer's point of view on the pros & cons of the system.  I am researching a Home Security System that is practical and cost effective for a similar environment.  Therefore, your video was VERY HELPFUL * please continue to share your knowledge as you come across items or products! Have a great day.

If you're travelling abroad say like you went to Canada and your home in the US, it is wise to always preset/save your mobile phone numbers in the alarm system with an international code. That way if the alarm triggered it could make a call to your mobile anywhere you are, whether your alarm system is wireless or not.
And most Home alarm system can be program to set every Zone with a special name. And in default it will only send you a text for each Zone. Say, the sensor in the kitchen's window triggered (default name – Zone 1, the alarm unit will send you this text – "Zone 1 triggered". You can change the name to any Zone name you want via mobile text sent to your alarm panel.
I used G5 Home alarm system. Check it out.

Is it possible to program each window and door sensor to have a "name" such as front door, bedroom 1, master bedroom, bathroom, etc?

  20. benji man says:

great vid ,very helpful  wish u could have done the programing of the wireless devices

  21. 22doulos22 says:

About the window sensors: In many of the other videos I have watched, for double-hung windows (most common type of window in US homes and the type of window I have) I see the sensors being installed at the top portion of the upper sash of the window, or at the bottom portion of the lower sash of the window. But, if you install a sensor at the top area of the upper sash, a home invader could lift the lower sash without separating the sensor parts (which are on the top sash), and if you install it at the lower area of the lower sash of the window, a home invader could lower the upper sash without separating the sensor parts, which are on the lower sash. (I hope I have described the problem I see clearly.) Please clarify how one sensor per window will trigger any entry attempt, in light of what I have described. Thank you.  (And please don't say buy two sensors per window.  If that is the case, the many videos that I watched on this system, including the one from the company, should have mentioned this major flaw and warned that your common double-hung window requires two sensors per window.)
